Adding a New Event

STEP 1: Log into the Dashboard

If you are not already logged into the dashboard, go to (link) and use your CHAHEC user name and password to log in.

STEP 2: Load Event Materials

You will need the pdf flyer of the event (for download) and a png or jpeg of flyer (or other stock photo) to represent the event on the calendar

The pdf flyer and the event jpeg or png, need to be added to the media file before proceeding. Go to the Media Files Help document to learn how to add media files ->

STEP 3: Registration URL

Copy the registration URL for the event from the flyer or open the link and copy from the browser line.

STEP 4: Create Event

From the dashboard scroll down to “Events” then select “Add New Event”

The “Add Event” screen will show

Fill in all the Event Fields and when you get to the registration field paste, in the Registration URL you copied earlier.

Go to the sidebar menu and be sure the “Event” tab is selected as above.

Scroll down the side bar until you see “Featured Image” – click on the grey box and you will be able to select a png or jpeg from the Media Library for the image that will represent the event on the calendar.

Once all the fields are filled, go to the top bar and click on the blue “Publish” button. You will be asked to click it twice to be sure. Your event will now be published and included in the calendar.

STEP 5: Test New Event

Go to the live site and view the event by selecting Upcoming Events. Select the event from the calendar and be sure all the information is correct and registration and download links are working properly.
