This nursing workshop, developed and presented by Catskill Hudson AHEC, provides education and training to practicing nurses, nurse educators, and nursing students on a variety of topics.
Annual Critical Care Conference - Bassett Healthcare
This program is designed for registered nurses and other healthcare providers in acute and critical care who care for patients at the end of life. Attendees will be able to:
• Identify communication strategies that honor patient preferences related to care at the end of life.
• Discuss ideas and strategies for optimizing end-of-life care in the critical care setting.
• Describe appropriate medical management of the organ donor patient.
• Discuss challenges related to patient’s decision-making capacity related to end of life care.
• Identify key nursing interventions for palliative care.

Annual Cardiovascular Teaching Day - Twin County Medical Associates
Catskill Hudson AHEC collaborates with Twin County Medical Associates, Columbia Memorial Hospital and the Columbia County Medical Society for the Annual CardiovascularTeaching Day. The objective of this successful educational program is to meet the healthcare needs of patients with cardiovascular related diseases. This program is open to physicians and nurses. Career Fitness - Catskill Hudson AHEC
The Career Fitness program is a series of four (4) training modules: Service Excellence, Assisting Customers with Disabilities, Communication, and Conflict Resolution. The program kit includes instructor training manual, slide presentation CD, tool kit (for individual and group learning activities), and employee/learner handbook. Individual program modules offer flexibility with succession/order of presentation and may be presented as lectures or self-learning modules.
Providing Care for Individuals with Developmental/Mental Disabilities - Catskill Hudson AHEC
The purpose of this program is to review scene management, critical decision-making, safety and communication for best results during emergency contact with persons with hidden disabilities. This program is for all emergency responders of all levels.
